Always amazing food and service! The specials are also always very fun and often absolutely delicious. Good vibes inside as well, live music often.

Delicious! My 8 year old said it was the best burger ever! Highly recommend coming here for some yummy food.

To be honest, I have no idea how I heard about this place. Probably Travel Channel when they didn't only talk about ghost places or Food Network but glad I checked it out. I came here on a Friday around maybe 11am or 12pm and it was busy! I noticed a lot of people doing work... it reminded me of a Starbucks location except with hot dogs. The staff was nice and accommodating as well as informative for the menu. The inside was super fun.. lots to look at! My husband ordered the 'Hawaii 5-0 Dog' which was an all-beef dog with sliced pineapple, grilled onion, chopped bacon, and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. He really enjoyed this and said it was one of the best hot dogs he had in awhile. I ordered 'The Stormtrooper' which was a grilled brat topped with creamy rotini alfredo pasta, crumbled bacon, fried onions and shredded parmesan. It was VERY different than anything I ever ordered both and it was good. This was definitely a knife and fork-er since the bun broke from how much was loaded on it. We also ordered a basket of fries but they were a special they were having and I do not remember what it was called, or what they were - other than fries. Regardless, they were delicious and in my opinion, WAY better than the dogs. I would definitely recommend as well as check this place out again if I was in the area. There is so much to choose from!

Could not recommend this place enough. We swung in for the first time tonight frantic and starving. Will be back again and again whenever we are in the area. The server & bartender were extra accommodating to my two boys & we had the best meal as a family. Hotdogs - who knew!!

We got the horseshoe dog and the gorilla mac & cheese dog. The toppings were mediocre, but the hotdog, now that was something indeed. I personally didn't care for the mac, but the chili on the horseshoe was okay. The hotdog the was by far the best I've ever had. The staff left a little to be desired, but the atmosphere was pretty chill. They have a seating area outside, off to the side that's seen better days. There's a really cute outside market right next to it, so it's kind of an eyesore. They should really take some time to invest in better outdoor seating.

I think this place is definitely worth coming to check out. I loved the retro vibe, including the music. And there were so many creative options. they're also a lot of creative offers for different items, discounts, and events advertised as occurrences on their schedule. I took a look at all of the ice cream option flavors and this place is just a lot of fun with many playful options and merchandise. Hot dogs are honestly a pretty basic food, and they've done a phenomenal job turning the concept into a full on experience.

Now guys... I don't eat meat so raise your eye when I step into a hot dog joint. I eat the very veggie dog and loaded fries! Oh and I go to support Steve, the owner, who is magnificent to our community. Steve's Hot Dogs is the home of St. Louis's Official Hot Dog. This spot is legendary on South Grand! They often do collaborations with other local spots like Strange Donuts and Crown Candy Kitchen. They also have Steve's Meltdown, another venture for grilled cheese! It's coming to The City Foundry soon! Loved it!

Today I got the vegan hotdog & the buffalo french fries! Yum! Inside is fun & colorful & has an inviting environment! Order at the counter & your food is brought out to you. Simple. This is a funtastic, hip, freaking great joint serving up some amazing dogs, refreshing drinks, and some warm and friendly St. Louis spirit! Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff will greet you and help navigate through the menu. Upbeat, musically infused atmosphere will keep you smiling and enjoying a good time with friends. What we ordered: - Purple Rain cocktail: (3.75/5) Very fun drink. Refreshing. Sweeter than my normal preference, but that's on me as I chose the drink! Love the look! - Waffle Dog with Siracha syrup: (4.75/5) GET THIS. Original, tasty and well balanced. The syrup was superb! - Gorilla Mac & Cheese Dog: (5/5) GET THIS. The GOAT. My go to dog for the past 10 years or so. Still hits! Hack... Drizzle some of that left over siracha syrup! - Crinkle cut fries (3.75/5): decent. Hack... dip them in the siracha syrup!
